Great news – I got the job, over the moon is an understatement. Much of what you preempted came up so I was very comfortable answering what came in front of me. I had an interview yesterday morning for my first teaching position as a NQT and received a phone call this morning to say I was successful! Your interview booklet and webinar really helped me focus my answers and the panel said they were very impressed – I’m delighted as I was up against more experienced teachers but now, I’ve 22 hours starting in September! I completed the CV/cover letter grind with AskTheTeacher. It was really beneficial as we did not get much advice from college and I didn’t know what was expected from a teachers CV. It was great to talk to someone who has experience applying for teaching jobs. He discussed what schools and principals are looking for in terms of CVs, which was great as my CV was customer service based from previous jobs and I was unsure where to start adding in experience from my school placements. It has now allowed me to focus on exactly what’s needed. He has some really useful advice in terms of references and applying for jobs. I would 100% recommend to anyone who is updating their CV for jobs or unsure about their CV.

Just want to say thanks for all the help, coming out of the PME I did not know where to start and the CV and Interview booklets helped massively and I have secured a job for September!
